Brick - Ketley Staffordshire blue facing bricks and matching brick slips

The new extension on this Crouch End house in North London was designed by Phi Design and Build and uses a Staffordshire blue brick to contrast with the existing light stock brick.  Detailing around the windows and door was done with Ketley's matching extruded brick slips.  Prue de Wynter Ozenc explains "We chose Ketley Staffordshire blue brick for the external material as it suited the monochrome palette used inside the house.  We loved the deep blue colour of the brick and its handmade quality. It allowed us to create a homogenous feel to the extension which contrasted the terrace’s original brickwork but still complemented it.
