Inside the FactoryKetley Brick Company have recently made a £3m investment to further develop the Brick and Paver production and particularly to introduce a unique level of flexibility and range for the manufacture of specials. At Ketley Brick Company we combine the traditional values embodied in our 100 year history with the determination to be a highly efficient manufacturer of consistently high quality product.
Ketley Brick is situated at the Dreadnought Works where Dreadnought Tiles have been made for over 200 years. Throughout the company's history Ketley and Dreadnought have received widespread recognition for the quality of their products and the high level of service provided. The images below show the process from clay preparation to the delivery of bricks ready for the driers.

Finger/Transfer CarThe Finger/Transfer car lifts the bricks from the ascender to the finger car.
Finger CarThe automatic finger car transports the bricks to the next available drier and loads them in.
Brick DriersBrick Driers with doors shut. The driers remove moisture from the clay prior to firing.
Automated TransportTransport of the dried bricks form the Driers to the setting robot.
Setting RobotThe setting robot lift bricks when they exit the driers and loads them on to the kiln cars |
