The continuing popularity of Ketley Blue Pavers lies in their strength, durability, chemical and abrasion resistance and lasting colour. With a thickness of only 50mm Ketley Pavers will withstand far in excess of the minimum Transverse Breaking load of 7 KN required by the British Standard and should the requirement arise for exceptional strength the breaking load can be significantly increased by the use of 65mm thickness.

Ketley products have been used as an abrasion resistant material in numerous heavy industrial applications ranging from stables, and abattoirs to aicraft aprons and chute linings.

The performance of Ketley Blue Pavers covered by the Capon Resistance to Abrasion test is outstanding.  Research shows that a capon value of less than 250 guarantees wear performance in heavily pedestrianised areas would justify a classification as Heavy Duty - suitable for channelised traffic flow in public pedestrianised areas i.e. show entrances in shopping precincts.

Suitable for use:

1. in traditional rigid pavements i.e. on a mortar bed over a rigid base with a mortar joint between each paver
2. in flexible pavement applications specified in BS 6677-1986 e.g. hard landscapes, footpaths, pedestrian areas and trafficked areas such as car parks, roadways, lorry parks, factory yards, docks, petrol station forecourts and farm hardstandings.

    3.   particularly suitable for providing
          feature banding within large  
          areas of other, less attractive
          materials. All 200x100mm pavers
          can be supplied with spacer nibs on
          all four sides. 
    4.   commercial developments, envelope
          schemes, urban renewal and general
          improvement areas.
