The continuing popularity of Ketley Patterned Staffordshire Blue Pavers, lies in their strength, durability, chemical and abrasion resistance and lasting colour.

Patterned Staffordshire clay pavers have been used for stable blocks and courtyards since Victorian times, mainly because they can withstand anything that a horse can thow at them.  They are acid resistant, provide good grip and have demonstrated that they can handle being driven on by lorries or stamped on with metal shoes for many years.  Reclaim yards sell you these for a small fortune, however the genuine article produced to the same appearance and with the same durability as in Victorian times is available from Ketley Brick. either in metric or imperial sizes. 

These pavers are given a variety of names, including stable paver, stable cobbles, square sets, panelled pavers, chocolate bar pavers and probably a few more to boot.

Suitable for use:

• In traditional rigid pavements i.e. on a mortar bed over a rigid base with a mortar joint between each paver
• Panel Pavers are suitable for use in flexible pavement applications  e.g. hard landscapes, footpaths, pedestrian areas and trafficked areas such as car parks, roadways, lorry parks, factory yards, docks, petrol station forecourts and farm hardstandings.

This building in Holland demonstrates an unusual application for diamond chequered pavers. Here they have been used as a cladding for this modern building and can also be found at ground level in the parking area adjacent to the building.
